Secure Data Storage

Our data centres are based in two different locations in the U.K in some of the most secure facilities available today and are protected from physical and logical attacks as well as from natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, etc. Some companies will store your data overseas in locations where data security and regulations fail to meet the high standards which we require for our members data and child safeguarding.

Secure Data Backup

The ILD platform and all of our key hardware have automatic redundant backups so no data will be ever be lost. Additionally, all of your data is backed up to our secure servers in the U.K, still in its encrypted form, so a full backup recovery can be performed if required.

Secure Data Encryption

We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for all data transferred between your mobile device, computer and our servers. The whole system is protected by a secure SSL certificate which means that any data sent is highly encrypted so no one can intercept the information.

Access Security

Every ILD Super User, User and parent user has their own secure and unique username, password and 4-digit pin number.

Mobile app security

When using our apps on your device, upon successful transfer of data to the ILD platform, all child data is automatically deleted from the device. This security feature ensures if the device is ever lost or stolen, there is no access to confidential data.

ILD Staff

All personnel working with or who are part of the ILD team are fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) & PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) checked at enhanced levels. This forms part of our rigorous recruitment procedures.

ILD system security lockdown

Our schools & nurseries can configure the time periods when staff have access to their ILD system i.e. system is only accessible to staff during school/nursery hours but not at home or during holiday periods. Access / restriction times can be set by individual staff member or whole team. Parent Portal access times for parents can also be controlled by date range required.

Media download

Only ILD Super Users are authorised to download photos and video clips. Parents cannot download media through the Parent Portal but their school or nursery can generate a digital flipbook to download. Unique to the ILD system, this digital flipbook is a full version of a child’s learning journal including all photos and video and clips. Parents can download the flipbook to device or burn to DVD.

C.I.P. (Child Identity Protection)

If a school or nursery has been advised that a child is potentially at risk and to avoid recognition, by using out C.I.P. technology, you have the option to obscure any images of the child included in group photographs.
